Launch date is to be confirmed.
The Missing Gem is an escape game based on a fictional story called the Lovegrove Affair, inspired by a true event known as the Staffordshire Hoard.
In this game, you are presented with a set of tasks and puzzles in which the end goal is to find the Missing Gem, a flawless thousand carat diamond from the hoard, believed to have been stolen by one of the lead archaeologists of the project Dr Lovegrove.
We also run corporate events and team building workshops.

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
If you are booking on behalf of a group, please ensure that you have the consent of all members of the party before making a booking and that all members of your party have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The person who signs the booking form or completes the booking online will be the “lead name” for the purposes of the booking. The lead name must be 18 years of age or over at the time of booking. The lead name is responsible for payment of the total booking price. The lead name must confirm that all the other members of the party agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and provide accurate and full information to the remainder of the group in relation to the booking, including any subsequent changes.
A booking is made with us when a) you tell us that you would like to accept our quotation; and b) you pay us for the booking; and c) we issue you with a booking confirmation. We reserve the right to return your booking money and decline to issue a confirmation at our absolute discretion. A contract will exist between you and us when we issue a confirmation email to the lead name that will confirm the details of your booking. Upon receipt, if you believe that any details on the confirmation email are wrong you must advise us immediately as changes cannot be made later and it may harm your rights if we are not notified of any inaccuracies.
We do not provide partial refunds for group bookings who fail to show up with less people than the agreed amount.
Should any additional members of the group be added at a later date, it remains the responsibility of the lead name to ensure that any such members agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and are in receipt of all relevant information relating to the booking.
If any player arrives under the influence of alcohol or drugs, we have the right to refuse entry and no refund will be given.
Please be aware, whilst there is no restriction on age, those under 12 years may find the puzzles too challenging. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+.
Any special requests must be advised to us at the time of booking. Although we will endeavour to meet any special requests, we regret we cannot promise that any requests will be complied with unless we have specifically confirmed this in writing. Failure to meet any special request will not be a breach of contract on our part unless the request has been specifically confirmed. We do not accept bookings that are conditional upon any special request being met.
If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect the booking arrangements of that person, please tell us before you confirm your booking so we can advise as to the suitability of the chosen booking. In any case, you must give us full details in writing at the time of the booking. Acting reasonably, if we are unable to properly accommodate the needs of the person(s) concerned, we will not confirm your booking or if you did not give us full details at the time of booking, we will cancel it and impose applicable cancellation charges when we become aware of these details.
As it’s a live game experience, we are unable to accept cancellations and are unable to offer refunds. However, we may be able to reschedule your booking by giving us at least 7 days’ notice before your booking is due to take place. For reschedule requests or amendments to bookings, such as adding an extra player, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you or any other member of your party decides to cancel your confirmed booking you must notify us in writing. No refunds will be given for bookings that are cancelled.
If you wish to rearrange a booking you must inform us in writing at least 7 days before the game booking date. We will endeavour to rearrange your booking wherever possible but cannot guarantee that it will be possible, in which case we reserve the right to cancel your booking without a refund.
The arrangements for Key Escape Rooms are put together in good faith in advance and we must therefore reserve the right to make alterations to and correct any errors to the event details before and after your booking has been confirmed. Most of these changes will be minor and we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date. We also reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your booking.
If we have to make a major change or cancel, we will tell you as soon as possible and you can either have a refund of all monies paid or accept an offer of alternative booking time.
You must notify us of your choice within 7 days of our offer. If you fail to do so we will assume that you have chosen to accept the change or alternative booking arrangements.

An escape room is a fully immersive game, in most cases for between 2-6 people, working together in a specifically themed room or rooms, utilizing each members strengths and initiatives to complete a set of challenges by discovering clues and solving puzzles
in order to open locks and uncover mysteries building up to dramatic finale, which in most cases, is to escape the room within a given time frame.
An escape room is unlike any other group activity you will have experienced and is a fantastic and fun, team building activity.
An escape room is an activity that can be enjoyed between, friends and family; colleagues, during corporate team building events; or other groups such as, stag and hen parties, or even birthdays.
Anyone can give it a go; however, whilst there is no restriction on age, those under 12 years may find the puzzles a little challenging and those under 16 must be accompanied by an appropriate adult.
There is a maximum limit of six and a minimum of two players at any one time.
Although we do not accept bookings for less than two players, you could try to go it alone, but due to administration fees, setting up the room and running costs, you would need to book for two.
Please note, if more than six players attend, only six will be allowed onto the premises as our holding room is reserved for the next team.
More people doesn’t necessarily mean a quicker escape.
Our prices range from £20 to £25 per person; price per person varies depending on the number of players.
Bookings can be made online, in advance, through our website at keyescaperooms.com.
All bookings are to be made in advance online via our booking system. Once you begin making your booking, you will have an ample, 10 minutes to complete payment in order to secure your booking. Using our advanced booking system couldn't be easier; most of the hard work is done behind the scenes making it a quick and simple process for even the most self acclaimed technophobe.
